Believers who Celebrate Halloween...WHY?
I realize that October 31 is next month but I was itching to hear thoughts about why some Believers celebrate Halloween. I have been confronted with many "hostile" responses from Believers on why they participate in Halloween festivities while attending seminary. Many believe that it's "just another day"; some believe it's a Christian holiday based in "historical facts"; and some have modified it to a "harvest celebration".
How has Halloween been presented in your up-bringing?
Should churches have "Hallelujah night on that day" where they STILL dress the children up in costumes?
Is it a day where Satan is glorified?
Does the Bible have ANYTHING to say on the subject matter?

If we think about what is walking this earth with us... well it's not pretty. The ghost the goblings, etc etc lost souls of satans and lost souls of God. To me when we celerbrate days like this... the enemy has a field day.. have you ever really seen people dressed up like God? Jesus? Peter, John, Matthew, Mark or Luke?. Ever seen a real pastor with a bible preaching about God and Jesus at a halloween party? Me either! Think about what we give the children. Junk. Sugar is a poison. We teah children it's ok to do this... well it's not. God doesnt like that we follow the clan.. this is why the world is in such a mess. We follow the others instead of being leaders... The sheep that are chosen to be a light in this world of darkness. We are to be an example. One day those people who say "it's just another day" might see what they are worshiping... I would not want to hear of what they could have seen that made them change their ways. There are many people that do not like halloween. Myself included. Just like the Lunar moon.. they call it this because all the lunatic's come out to play on peoples minds and cause all kinds of issues. To me this is when people glorifiy satanic garbage.
If people were given the gift of discernment they would see what walks this earth and would never ever glorify another pegan holiday! Just my opinion folks. have a special sweet blessed day. Shalom to you, I am new to this site, however; I am apprehended by haMashiach [called Christ] Yahushua [called Jesus] and Yahweh [called god].
It may not seem to be directly answered as you have said, but relying on Ruach to give all understanding will be the cost of seeing what I am writing.
An investigation of the whole matter, which I pray will be opening our minds to renewing by the transforming of Ruach haQodesh [called H.S.], expounding the minds of followers in Him! In order to aid us all into "the pressing toward unto the mark [an examination of english is necessary] of the high calling which is in Yahushua", Son of Yahweh [and EloHim in One Member]. HalleluYah! He opens the eyes of the blind, I was blind and now I see!
About 7 years ago, Yahweh knows, He brought me out of the traditions of what we call holiday's, each one has a seemingly close resemblance of what Yahweh set before us all. Torah, The Old Testament [specifically Gen.-Deut. proper names (are B'reshith - Devarim" show the true meaning, here's some help to those who desire to investigate for themselves. We are called to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling" and "Trust in EloHim with all our hearts and lean not unto our own understanding", also, recall in the garden haShatan knew the right word-ing to trick even the good creation haAdmah/Adam and chavvâh/Eve [it is fitting to believe Yahweh Himself in this passage as we are all still on earth and the plan has not changed in His perspective (Mt. 24.24) along with (Mal. 3.6).
Yahushua met regularly with the religious rulers of the days He was on earth 1) to come for the lost house 2) to show them the way of man is not as Yahweh's see (Is. 55.1-9 among others.) 3) to open the eyes of those truly desiring after the True One Creator, for "Every knee shall bow" Phil. 2.2-8.
All are seen as true Israelites when Yahushua lives in them and we die to human ways of living, the lost are found, we need seek Him only and keep the fellowship of belief, perilous times are among us and I pray we are drawn together to gloify (as Yahushau did and said to continue, that none would be lost). Amein
Only Ruach can convict, and open the eyes of the Qodesh one, so I rest in Him and come to aid in the sharpening of iron in the last days!
My last note is a blessing to all, I pray, as we strive to grow in the riches of haMashiach [Anointed ONE] of Yah!
