BELIEVERS SHOULD RESIST DEATH AS AN ENEMYThe will of the believer "will"-ing physical death, gives the Adversary power of death over that one, and no believer should yield to a "desire to die" until he knows beyond question that God has released him from further service to His people. That a believer is "ready to die" isa very small matter; he must be ready to live, until he is sure that his life work is finished. God does not harvestHis corn until it is ripe, and His redeemed children shouldbe "garnered as a shock of corn in its season."It is ofttimes the prince of death as a Murderer, working through the ignorance of God's children, (1) as to his power, (2) the conditions by which they give him power, and (3) the victory of prayer by which they resist his power, who cuts off God's soldiers from the battlefield. It is Satan as a Murderer, who gives "visions of glory," "longings to die," to workers of value to the Church of God, so that they yield to death, even in days of active serv…

Even so, Father!

‘At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.’ Matthew 11:25

Suggested Further Reading: 1 Samuel 3:1–18

‘At that time Jesus answered.’ If you will look at the context you will not perceive that anybody had asked him a question, or that he was indeed in conversation with any human being. Yet it says, ‘Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father.’ Now when a man answers, he answers a person who has been speaking to him. Who, then, had been speaking to him? Why, his Father. Yet there is no record of it; which should just teach us that Christ had constant fellowship with his Father, and often did his Father silently speak into his ear. As we are in this world even as Christ was, let us catch this lesson. May we likewise have silent fellowship with the Father; so that often we may answer him. And when the world knows not to whom…

"Preach it brother! Boom, boom. As I was listening, I thought of some of the things allowed in churches and yes there is much more evil allowed in the church today then 20 years ago, but it has crept in even as Paul was writing these epistles. Jeff, someone that may read this may think I am nuts, I am wrong, I am being insensitive, or whatever, but I will never belong to an organized denomination again. Ever! I don't need a denomination to tell me what is pleasing in the eyes of the Lord and what in not pleasing to Him. I do study His Word, not just read. I do listen to other brothers and sisters like you Jeff and do study to make sure it lines up.
Jeff, when I was part of different churches when I was first born again and hungry to know God and His ways and it did not take long to see that the enemy already had a foot in the door. those preaching on sin isn't that bad if you tell God your sorry. Not according to my Bible. Preaching from the NIV. Preaching that the gifts of the Holy S…"

"The pastor does a great job sharing the history of the SDAs as well as the marks of a cult.  My mom was involved with this cult, so I know it well.  Long story short, but God put on my heart exactly what to share with her to expose what was false and lead her out."

Ezra 1, 2
The book of Ezra, the first part was probably written by Ezra but written from the records. Actually at the time that Cyrus gave the decree to build the temple, Ezra wasn't even alive. Ezra doesn't come into the story, into a firsthand account until you get to chapter seven. The first six chapters deal with the first of the repatriation of the nation Israel after the Babylonian captivity.
Now in the first year of Cyrus the king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all of his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus the king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah (Ezr 1:1-2).
Now he mentions here, "In order that the word of the prophecy of Jeremiah might be fulfilled." And as you turn to Jeremiah chapter…

o We cannot afford to be indifferent towards Jesus and His return.

o We can’t afford to be indifferent towards the Holy Spirit who makes us ready for the return of Jesus.

o We can’t afford to be indifferent towards the resources that God gives us.

o We can’t afford to be indifferent towards the needy people all around us.

o We can’t afford to be indifferent towards lost humanity that will stand in judgment.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the love You have for me and the patience, even when I go through times of being hard headed. Lord, we know that in ourselves we are nothing, but in You, we are made complete. Our identity is found in Christ and that is the basis of our self-worth making us valuable and capable of worthy service through Christ who dwells within us. Help us not to be consumed with thoughts of how the world views us, but to think soberly with good judgment so that we do not look to the wrong source for approval or imitate that which deglorifies Christ. Jesus, I pray this prayer in Your wonderful, powerful name. Amen.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Mark 10:14
I f we believe that the eternal souls of our children hang in the balance, why would we take a casual approach to parenting? If our eyes are fully opened to this awesome assignment, why would we ignore and neglect so great an opportunity? The Good News provides the only satisfactory explanation for why we’re here and where we’re going. When we accept our spiritual responsibility as parents, our entire family is likely to follow our example into eternity: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household” (Acts 16:31).
Are you the parents of young children or a houseful of teenagers? We understand how difficult it is for you to keep this eternal perspective in mind as you race through your days. We encourage you not to let yourselves become discouraged with the responsibility of parenting. Yes, it is incredibly difficult, and a…

Teenagers

My kids are all growing up so quickly. Five of my six kids are now teenagers. I thought when they got to be teenagers things was going to go really smooth. Well I guess I had myself fooled. As I've noticed an increase of fussing that flight arguing and blaming. Arguing with each other arguing with me and my wife. I was under the impression that they would start doing things for themselves. Again I was wrong. It's in the setback wait for you to cook the meals do the laundry do dishes clean the…
